Two celebrity designers — Amy Bond, a contestant from "Project Runway" Season 16, and Los Angeles-based Grayling Purnell — will display their latest fashions as part of El Paso Fashion Week events this weekend.

Bond is producer of the new Netflix series, "Next in Fashion," and has been working on men's designs as well as wedding gowns, as shown on her Instagram account. Purnell has designed fashions worn to the 71st Emmy Awards.

The fashion shows, put on by Bazaar Model Management, will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the pavilion at Fountains at Farah and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Union Depot, Downtown.

This is the ninth annual fashion week, sponsored by Porsche of El Paso, featuring designs for men, women and children for winter, spring and summer.

"We really want to grow the fashion industry in El Paso and showcase the hidden talent of El Paso," said Rickee Nuñez, public relations coordinator for the show.
